Woman killed in motorcycle accident, daughter in critical condition
A fatal motorcycle accident occurred this morning, where the Texas Department of Safety is investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that happened in Orange Country.
A DPS spokesperson said that the accident occurred around 2 P.M Sunday on FM 1442 north of South Terry Road.
According to the DPS spokesperson, they have identified the woman who was killed at the scene as as Ramona Tolman, 44, of Orange. Tolman has a 14-year-old daughter, who was critically injured in the accident scene.
Rescue workers at the scene said the mother and daughter were on a three-wheeled motorcycle when they ran off the road and hit a fence and tree. The mother was pronounced at the scene, but her daughter was taken quickly by a medical helicopter to the University of Texas Medical Branch hospital in Galveston in critical condition.
Rescue workers at the scene has said that Tolman was following the 14-year-old's father, who was also riding a motorcycle.
