Hewitt police reported that an auto-pedestrian car crash occurred early Wednesday morning around 7:00 am, after a black 2005 Pontiac Vibe hit and seriously injured the 25-year-old male pedestrian. The auto-pedestrian accident occurred Hewitt Dr. and West Warren Rd.

The 25-year-old pedestrian was rushed to the Hill crest Hospital on Wednesday morning with serious injuries and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after the car accident.

Police reports say that the man was crossing Hewitt Drive, when the auto-pedestrian accident occurred. The driver of the Pontiac was unharmed. So far no charges has been filed against him yet.

When police arrived, a previous car accident occurred on the 200 block of West Warren Rd. Authorities say that a white 2011 Nissan Altima heading West Warren drove off the road and hit a tree. Jason Paul Scott, 30-years-old, the driver of the Nissan Altima suffered from minor injuries during the crash and was arrested for driving intoxicated, considered a misdemeanor offense in the state of Texas.
